On the 11th of May 2018 at about 2:03am, whilst Police were closing the La Cabana Night Club they were informed that a gold chain was snatched from around a female’s neck whilst outside of the establishment. Upon exiting the establishment, officers observed a scuffle on Zultana Street involving three male persons. Whilst approaching, the officer observed one of the male person’s running away from the scuffle and as a result, a warning shot was fired by the police, where the male person stopped and was detained. It was then discovered that Luis MONGE, a 23 year old, was stabbed under his left arm and also injured was Dennis MONTERROSA, 19 year old Belizean Mechanic of a Belmopan address, who sustained a cut wound to left side of his head.
